ANSI X12 Converter

The ANSI X12 Converter allows conversion between ANSI X12 and XML formats. ANSI X12 is a widely used EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standard in North America, particularly in healthcare, retail, and logistics industries.

The converter enables data communication between different applications or systems by converting ANSI X12 messages into XML format or vice versa. This is especially important when different systems support different data formats. For example, one application may expect data in ANSI X12 format, while another may require XML. In such cases, the converter facilitates data integration between the two systems.

Conversion Types:​

The ANSI X12 Converter offers a number of conversion options, each serving specific needs:

  • ANSI X12 to XML: Parses an ANSI X12 message and converts it into XML format using the specified XSD schema.

  • XML to ANSI X12: Transforms structured XML data into an ANSI X12-compliant message.

Configuration Parameters:​

  • Convert Type: Specifies the direction of conversion (ANSI X12 to XML or XML to ANSI X12)
  • XSD Path: Path to the XSD schema file used for validation and conversion
  • Single Line: Option to output the converted data as a single line
